It is our great pleasure to announce that the 11th CPESE was successfully held on September 6-8, 2024, in Nara, Japan. The theme of CPESE 2024 was Smart and Flexible Power and Energy Systems, and accordingly, it provided a suitable environment to discuss new research/engineering achievements on more flexible, robust, sophisticated, and predictive solutions to enhance the power and energy grids' reliability and resilience. In this direction, 3 keynote speeches, 4 invited speeches, 1 special session, 2 student paper competitions and 8 oral sessions are included in the conference program, to address some important topics and achievements related to recent trends and progress made in the field of advanced power and energy systems.
